Today I want to talk to you about the same thing…… but different. What do I mean?
In this week’s video, I am in beautiful Niagara Falls and it’s the perfect illustration of how something can be the same…… but different at the same time.
Watch this week’s video below for tips on how you can be different and stand out from the competition.
P.S.: Join the conversation below and let me know how the tips in today’s video helped you!
I’ve been doing tis for almost 15 years and spent nearly as much time on the truck as behind the scenes. To me, we all have dryers, we all have dehumidifiers and rescue mats etc. A customer generally doesn’t care about that, it’s your job to dry the house-that’s why you’re there. CARE. That what makes a difference. Listen to a customers concerns, give them a few minutes to vent, or feel sorry for themselves. They just had a loss. Sure, you may have been in 10 in the past week that were much worse than the one you just walked into but to the customer, this is their loss. There are bumps in the road during many jobs, usually small stuff. If you have your customers trust they trust you to resolve the small stuff and don’t make it into a big deal. I’ve had COS’s (certificate of satisfaction’s) filled out where the customer only mentions how kind I was when I walked in the door and how they felt like everything would be okay because of me. They never mention anything about the equipment, the uniforms the company… just that few initial minutes of kindness. It’s not always easy, believe me. ALWAYS make sure your crews back it up with a good job
Tony, I couldn’t have said it better!
