History is filled with stories of how people thrived in down economics, solely by their attitude and by providing more value for the payment received. Most added value will not add any cost by providing better and engaged customer service, listening to their needs, remembering their birthday and special events of life.

Thanks for that reminder. Every generation thinks it has life tougher than the previous one. To my mind, life has always been tough and the people who succeed are the ones who give, give and give again.

I agree with Phil, life has and will always be hard. However I’ve seen changes in my industry in the last 13 years which have made it more difficult to make a profit.
Efficiency is the key and something I was struggle with.
