Ask for Feedback on This Week’s Video Blog

In this week’s video I am on a bit of a rant about customer service.

I am just leaving Las Vegas after attending a conference and I find that Vegas is becoming really expensive and nickel-and-diming everything. Do you feel that way too?

I already received an electronic copy of my hotel bill via email, but there’s no customer survey…… just thanks for your stay, here’s your bill.

Let’s learn a lesson here…… what are you doing to ensure you get feedback from your customers?

Watch this week’s video for tips on how you can ask for feedback.

Shop for Deals on This Week’s Video Blog

Did you know that it’s OK to shop for deals…… and to enjoy the benefits you get by getting a great deal?

In this week’s video I am in Cancun, Mexico at an all-inclusive resort where we brought the management team from one of my clients down for an annual business meeting. What astonishes me is that it was cheaper to fly everyone to Cancun, Mexico and cover their all-inclusive hotel costs then it was to hold the event in the city that the business operates.

Watch this week’s video for more tips on spending your money wisely!

Competition on This Week’s Video Blog

Did you know that having a competitive spirit is a good thing?

In this week’s video I talk about how our staff have competitive natures too. They want the more challenging jobs…… sometimes you can even reward staff by giving them the trickiest, hardest, most difficult jobs as they feel a great deal of satisfaction out of handling them properly.

Remember, when you’re dealing with people, we’re all competitive…… we need to understand what people are thinking, what they go through and then use that to our advantage.

Too many times, we fear things that are not really going to affect us in the big picture.

In this week’s video I talk about how we often worry about how our customer is going to react when we tell them the real story about what we have to do in their home or property.

Stand Out on This Week’s Video Blog

How do you stand out from your competition?

In this week’s video I am standing in front of some tourist shops and they all look the same.

It got me thinking, how do we as restoration contractors make our business stand out so that adjusters, agents and other people involved in dispatching claims understand that we give outstanding whatever we do?
